Michael engages and delights diverse audiences with poetry, flute, drum, and storytelling performances that weave Indigenous teachings into a modern day context. His strong respect for all cultures resonates in his performances. He dreams of playing for people from all kinds of other cultures and connecting through music. Even when unable to speak another person’s language, he believes that respect can be communicated by playing a song from their culture.  This dream of cross-cultural communication is expressed in his interpretation of a Palestinian song called , Thy Own True Love.  Michael Laughing Fox can be seen performing regularly at Big Top Chautauqua, located in Bayfield WI, as part of local historical shows.  Given his Native and French ancestry, his own history reflects the story of this land, and he loves sharing it.
