"Laughing Fox' music comes from Nature itself, from this big lake, its embracing surrounding woodlands, and all the life-forms therein. Laughing Fox, with his flute, helps to lead The People along today’s Red Road. We are all better for him. I have been watching him all his life and have fond memories of him joining us on our Red Cliff radio show. I enjoyed his “one man” stage show at Washburn’s Stage North, and was proud when his poem won the major award for poetry at The Sounder, an Ashland newspaper, several years ago. The man is a very talented flute player, poet, prose writer, visual artist, and yes, a very fine baker too! What can’t that fellow do?"

Howard Paap, Retired anthropologist, author, poet and mentor to Laughing Fox

"Laughing Fox has contributed a depth of knowledge and talent to our educational and artistic programs at Big Top Chautauqua. He has led cultural workshops and performances that teach the history and traditions of the native people of the Chequamegon Bay Area. Michael performed as part of the blue canvas orchestra troupe of musicians and actors in our original musicals like "Riding the Wind" and "Take Me to the Islands". He has provided music and stories for our family series, and has been a wonderful partner in Big Top's efforts to celebrate the culture and history of the Bayfield peninsula and surrounding area.. We are please to have Laughing Fox as an important part of our creative team, and would heartily recommend him as an artist for others' arts programming."
